CountryHouse in Cumberland is Agemark’s Memory Care of the Year

Agemark Senior Living recently named CountryHouse Residence for Memory Care in Cumberland, Maryland, the company’s memory care community of the year for 2023. The award was announced at Agemark’s corporate meeting held on March 7, 2024, in Omaha.

CountryHouse in Cumberland is led by Nicole King. Opened in 2000, CountryHouse has served hundreds of residents with memory loss due to all types of dementia. The community was measured in five areas: occupancy, family satisfaction, employee satisfaction, income to operating expenses and budget management. After all areas were closely examined, CountryHouse in Cumberland rose to the top of Agemark’s 14 memory care-only communities.

King says of the honor, “I’m very proud of the CountryHouse team. They are an amazing group who are incredibly dedicated to each other and to the residents who make CountryHouse their home. They all bring valuable skills and talent to their individual roles. It’s a privilege to work with them and I’m so grateful for their leadership.”

The win was the fifth historically for CountryHouse and their first since 2020. Other members of the CountryHouse leadership team include Megan Sgaggero, Brandi Harper, Gene Lindner and Becky Donnellan. Additionally, the community employs an exceptional team of experienced caregivers.

CountryHouse has a sister community, The Kensington, also located in Cumberland. The Kensington provides assisted living to seniors in the Cumberland area, and the two communities benefit from a close partnership. Additionally, adult day care services are provided by Evergreen Adult Day Care, inside The Kensington.
