CountryHouse in Elkhorn opened in January 2021. Our gorgeous community is designed purposefully for those with dementia. At capacity, we are home to 40 residents who are cared for by a team specifically trained to help those who live with the challenges brought forth by memory loss. A sister community, in nearby Millard, is just six miles away.

The heart of CountryHouse really shines through in our people. Our team members understand the difference between caring and giving care, and they’re committed to infusing our philosophy of treating people like family into everything they do.
Heather is the Executive Director at CountryHouse in Elkhorn. Before joining CountryHouse, she was the Executive Director at Oxford Senior Living’s Saunders House in Wahoo, Nebraska, where she worked for three years. Prior to that, Heather gained valuable experience in patient care at Nebraska Medical Center’s Float Pool and at Saunders Medical Center in the long-term care unit.
Heather’s passion for senior living stems from her deep commitment to caring for others, especially the elderly. She finds fulfillment in leaving work each day knowing she has made a difference in someone’s life.
When she is not in the community, she enjoys spending time with her family. A fun fact about Heather is that if she could eat one thing for the rest of her life, it would be Mexican food, especially al pastor tacos.
Nicole is CountryHouse’s Director of Nursing. She began her health career as a CNA at the VA Med Center in Walla Walla, WA, at age 18. Years later, she moved to Omaha and continued working as a CNA while attending nursing school. She later became an LPN and has worked in skilled nursing, memory care, home health, and as a Director of Nursing at one other community prior to joining team CountryHouse. Her passion is educating nursing staff, patients and families on the disease process, and ensure those with memory loss are cared for with dignity and respect.
Terry Greco brings 15 years of experience working with seniors to CountryHouse. Knowing he could make a difference in the lives of seniors, Terry joined the CountryHouse team in February 2021. He takes great pride in helping people in their golden years and listening to the amazing stories of their past.
Terry enjoys doing anything outside and spending time with family. One of his favorite times was visiting Glacier National Park. If he could go anywhere for a full month, he would travel to Europe.
Teckla joined the CountryHouse team in February and brings more than 11 years of experience in senior living to CountryHouse. She takes great pride in contributing to the happiness of residents.
She has three stepchildren, ten chickens, two dogs and five quail. She enjoys gardening, camping, and cooking. If Teckla could have one wish granted, it would be to live near the beach.
