Our Leaders
The heart of CountryHouse really shines through in our people. Our team members understand the difference between caring and giving care, and they’re committed to infusing our philosophy of treating people like family into everything they do.
Katie Salinas was promoted to Executive Director of CountryHouse Elkhorn. She was previously the Memory Care Manager at our sister community, Holland Farms in Iowa, from 2022 until 2025. Before that, she served as the Life Enrichment Coach for residents of The Homestead. In that role, she ensured that residents participated in life-enriching activities that addressed their physical, social, spiritual, and intellectual wellness. In her current position, she is responsible for the overall oversight of The Homestead Memory Care.
Katie enjoys making connections with residents and finds that she has learned many life lessons by spending time in the presence of seniors.
She holds a bachelor’s degree from William Penn University and an associate’s degree from Iowa Central Community College. After graduation, she took a chance on a career in senior living, which she says was the “best decision she could’ve made.” Prior to joining the Holland Farms team, she was the Activities Director at a senior living community in Indianola for three years. She enjoys being part of the Agemark Senior Living family of communities and feels that the family atmosphere and values they demonstrate are unmatched.
In her free time, she enjoys hiking and being outdoors.
Teckla joined the CountryHouse team in February and brings more than 11 years of experience in senior living to CountryHouse. She takes great pride in contributing to the happiness of residents.
She has three stepchildren, ten chickens, two dogs and five quail. She enjoys gardening, camping, and cooking. If Teckla could have one wish granted, it would be to live near the beach.
Nicole is CountryHouse’s Director of Nursing. She began her health career as a CNA at the VA Med Center in Walla Walla, WA, at age 18. Years later, she moved to Omaha and continued working as a CNA while attending nursing school. She later became an LPN and has worked in skilled nursing, memory care, home health, and as a Director of Nursing at one other community prior to joining team CountryHouse. Her passion is educating nursing staff, patients and families on the disease process, and ensure those with memory loss are cared for with dignity and respect.
Terry Greco brings 15 years of experience working with seniors to CountryHouse. Knowing he could make a difference in the lives of seniors, Terry joined the CountryHouse team in February 2021. He takes great pride in helping people in their golden years and listening to the amazing stories of their past.
Terry enjoys doing anything outside and spending time with family. One of his favorite times was visiting Glacier National Park. If he could go anywhere for a full month, he would travel to Europe.
Ulises brings a unique blend of culinary expertise, entrepreneurial spirit, and creative passion to his role as Culinary Services Manager at CountryHouse Elkhorn. He began his career in senior living as a cook at The Village at Brookfield Commons before expanding his skills in high-end restaurants across Connecticut, including John’s Cafe and Circa Bistro.
His goal is to create memorable dining experiences for residents, knowing that a good meal can evoke cherished memories and comfort. He especially enjoys celebrating residents through personalized birthday cakes and themed Family Traditions events, such as his first Valentine’s Party and Cookie Decorating Class, an event still fondly remembered by families weeks later.
Outside the kitchen, Ulises enjoys refurbishing antique and vintage power equipment, a hobby that reflects his appreciation for craftsmanship and detail, both of which shine through in the meals he and his team create every day.
